BSA recently introduced Family Scouting and Troop 284 has embraced this change 100%.  Troop 284 has one chartering organization in the Kiwanis Club of Copiague and has one committee representing both troops: there is one separate Scout Troop 284 of boys with their own Scoutmaster and one separate Scout Troop 284 of girls with their own Scoutmaster.  While under one chartering organization, this organizational breakdown will ensure the execution of the scouting tenets with the proper safeguards in place for all scouts.  Please see the attached pdf file below for a more detailed breakdown of the new Family Scouting approach of the Boy Scouts of America.
