WELCOME to BSA Troop 274

Welcome to the Home Page for BSA Troop 274.  We are part of the Mount Tahoma District in the Pacific Harbors Council.

We are proud to be chartered by the Shepherd of the Hill Presbyterian Church for more than 40 years. We meet at their church on 8401 112th St E., Puyallup, WA 98373 every Tuesday night at 7 PM. We are currently 40 scouts / 4 patrols strong.

The Boy Scout model is to be"Boy Led / Adult Guided". Here, the Scouts are in charge and make the decisions about weekly/monthly agendas and choosing our monthly camping destinations.   Adult leaders provide an environment that allows boys to experience what it means to be a "boy scout".  Our Troop specializes in Rifle and Shotgun shooting and service to our community.

If this sounds like something you (or your son) would be interested in for yourselves, PLEASE feel free to stop by and visit us any Tuesday night at 7 PM.   If you have any questions about Scouting or the way this troop operates, please check us out or drop us an email.

We especially welcome:

- 2nd years Webelos Scouts and parents searching for a Boy Scout troop that is right for them

- Current Boy Scouts who may be "bored" or having other issues in their current troops

- Former Scouts who may have quit before giving another troop a try

Thank you and I look forward to Scouting with you!

YIS
